Canvas not opening?

I've tried uninstalling and redownloading the cursor editor many times, but it hasn't been helping. When I try to open a cursor to edit it or create a new cursor from scratch, the program will freeze rather than open the canvas. Does anybody know of a fix for this? Thanks.
