I have a logo image that I want to create an Icon from

I have a logo image created as a JPG file. When I attempt to import it into the RealWorld Icon editor the Text and Graphics are not readable. The logo image is currently 231 x 157 in size for my website....When i scale the image to be 16 x 16 in size I still get the same problem....Basically I want to use the logo as an Icon and I can't get it to work.....any help appreciated

I am not sure I understand you correctly. Are you saying that when you shrink you 231x157 pixels logo to fit in 16x16 frame, the items on the logo are not recognizable anymore? If this is the case, not much can be done, it would be best if you only used the most characteristic part of your logo and remove any text. 16x16 pixels is not enough for a complex logo. You may also experiment with the shadows added during the conversion to icon to see if they can help.

Do the cursors/icons that come on here have to be at 16x16?

No, cursors should be 32x32 and icons can have any size(s).
