Help, I'm trying to find the best ways to get buttons.

The first thing to do with grinding buttons is making a bunch of good ratings on cursor/icon sets, specifically ones that follow the Reviewing Guidelines. Just make a bunch of reviews on sets and you'll get some buttons. After that, you can save up for button producing items, like the Pom Plant or the 15 puzzle. More info on buttons here.
