i can probably come up with some tips.

If you know how to 3d model cursors... DO IT
it makes them look better and sometimes gives them depth

If not, do not fear.
when you are making cursors from the application focus on the quality of the cursor and only that first cursor, then when youre done move on to others.
Do not rush and take your time.
