Configuration may be corrupted. Reset configuration by holding C

I get this error whenever I try to open or make an image. I haven't changed any settings on RWP since the last time I used it. I held control and shift while opening RWP as suggested, I allowed it, and the problem persists. Even after uninstalling and reinstalling it doesn't work.

RWCE works fine.

While holding the keys, did a window pop up asking you whether you want to reset the configuration and did you say yes?

Yes to both, and when I tried reinstalling it asked me if I wanted to fix it (while the old app was in the recycle bin), I tried that and it didn't do anything. So I did a normal reinstall but the problem persists.

You may try to manually delete the configuration file. You can find in the %APPDATA%\RealWorld\RWPaint folder and it should be named Config.2013.1

Or you can try the portable version, it uses a different configuration file.
