Directional blur?

Either lend a hand or take this as a suggestion for a new tool.

I was wondering if there's a good way to make a convincing motion blur effect. You know, like what you get if something is moving so fast you can't get a proper photo of it. Is there a tool for that in RW-Paint?

Currently, there are only horizontal and vertical blurs. It would not be very practical, but you can rotate your image, do a horizontal blur, and rotate it back.

Another technique would be to copy the image multiple times and make the copies increasingly more semitransparent and moved.

A real good motion blur probably needs something better, I'll see what can be done about that in a future version (or anyone can of course create a plug-in).
