Icons are too small

I paid for the icon software hoping the icons would get bigger. They don't, so it looks like I wasted our money. I have tried everything, all I have are tiny little things that are an embarrassment. Why is this, because they look great on the programme, until they are saved, then a let down. The icons that look big will not save. Sigh.

Every size displayed by the editor is also saved. If your icons appear to be too small, you are probably using wrong tool to view them.

Excerpt: The image actually displayed [by Explorer] as a thumbnail may not be the most suitable one, this is especially true for Windows XP, where often the small 16x16 picture is used.
