Hello! I don't think there's anything wrong with your cursors. Not everyone wants colorful cursors full of bunnies and flowers. To tell you the truth I love colorful pointers, but I don't think it's fair rating cursors this way. The ones you made are well done, have the hotspots on place, and are one of your first ones. Plus some people love grey and prefer simple custumizations. They have a modern and a clean look. 😉
