I would recommend learning to use the tools such as the line and polygon tools. The pen isn't really good as a primary drawing tool unless you have crazy accurate hands. That will help you develop some cursors that are higher quality.
If these were somehow animated though, they might have an interesting "artsy" look. Especially if you gave all of them shadows.

It Was meant to be like that!
It makes the cursors "Wario Ware"
or "Powered by The Cheat" Style... or something, like
drawing 'em on paper.
I do think you should try these as an animated set. Draw the same thing with the pen about ten times (a ten frame animation.) Set the speed relatively high, and then you might have a really neat interesting set.

The link select is the only one I like.

You should make an animation for each one that shows the messy cursors turning into nicer ones. It would be a lot of work but it would be worth it and I would up the stars. Also, maybe the background would slowly fill in. It would make them look really nice.

handwritten handwriting. that's hilarious.
good for a first attempt. my first set was a set based on a video game called "portal" my portal gun cursors in the set were handwritten. they came out just fine.
