I can't guarantee a black se7en cursor set because I rapidly lose interest in a project if I do the same thing too much, but you are welcome to recolor the se7en cursors to black if you like and use them.

Hey, I hope you all don't think I am spamming up the profiles with my message to check my blog. Just trying to spread the word on the experiment for anybody who is interested.

what kind of experiment dude?

It's been canceled for the time being due to lack of responses. I also announced it on the Facebook page, but I removed the blog- sorry.

Basically, it was to describe a cursor and have everybody create what they imagined that cursor to be. The experiment being to compare the different styles that each person uses when creating a cursor.

The description would be purposefully vague- in this case it was black, green, and spirals. So the cursor that everybody made (Just a "normal select" cursor- not a whole set) would have to incorporate black, green, and spirals (all three) into the design somehow. Then the cursors would all be put into one set together.

So that's what I meant. A couple of people have expressed interest since then, so I may bring it up again and message people to make them aware- more direct.

Feel free to create a set from the smiley icons, but when creating new, please remove the empty images before uploading. It is OK, when an icon only has 1 image. They can be used in posts, but it is more complicated .

Thanks Teddy! Actually, If I worked start to finish with no breaks (I often take a day or two off depending on how enthusiastic I feel.) it would probably only take me about two days. Maybe even just one day depending on how complex the set is. The change is that I have been using Blender, a free but incredibly powerful 3D program to model the cursors. Then I render them (Turn the 3D model into a picture) and then use RealWorld Cursor editor to turn them into cursors.

For animated cursors, I have a little effort. I make the animtion in Blender. Instead of rendering a movie though, I have it render a series of pictures. Vlasta gave me a handy script that stitches the images into one long strip. Opening the strip in RW Cursor Editor automatically separates the images in the strip into frames. Then I pretty much just set the animation speed and the hotspot.

So I basically have these steps.
1. Model the cursor.
2. Animate the model with keyframes.
3. Render the animation as a series of images.
4. Stitch the images together into a strip with Vlasta's script.
5. Open the strip in RWCE and apply hotspot and speed.
6. Repeat for other cursors.

Thanks for the comment! I recommend learning to use Blender, you can do so much with it. And I just know the bare basics of it. They can use it to make movies like Pixar does. (They don't use Blender, but they do use a similar program.)

Maybe I'll even make a tutorial when I have time.

It's the black flashlight. Vlasta gave it to me a while back. It is available now for 100 buttons. About a month's worth of comments. It's only visible in Firefox though unfortunately.

Just to say i really like your work

Thank you for the comment on the Envy set. I was using rw cursor but Im liking the simplicity of AniTuner2. They both have +'s and -'s but the main one is that AniTuner2 i can import images directly to frames w/o having to set up the frames then adding the image as a layer. So if i have a 30 frame cursor all i have 2 do is hit enter 30 times to import and make the frame, then set the duration n hotspots. Speaking of hotspots, I think I have the hotspots fixed, however still not sure about the ibeam, it seems like its not quite right. BTW i too use blender to make and render the objects / frames. And also added the unavailable cursor to the set the rest will follow.

I tried anituner2 out and I definitely like rw cursorEditor better ^^ but that set of yours is rly nice

Dragging and dropping frames from a file manager to .ani file was supposed to work, but a bug slipped in. It will be fixed in the next version. For now, you could use a workaround: In the new RWPaint, create an animated image, drag and drop your frames to it, convert it to filmstrip and then import that in the cursor editor. It should be much faster than adding frames manually.

OHh that looks way easier. I cant wait to try it out. Thats pretty much the only + that other program has. Overall I too like RWCursor wayyyy better. I only wish i had the time and skill to draw the frames with RW, that way it would be exclusively an RW made cursor. 😎

It is for manipulating 3D models. You can do this with a regular mouse as well, but the 3D mouse is specially designed for doing it. 😁

I had previously gone under screen names of RubixChamp (Back when I used to solve rubik's cubes), vistahacker (When I used to Run Vista on my laptop and I altered it to look like Windows 7), and Se7endude (When I finally got the real Windows 7).

I had to make a Twitter account in a class at school one day and I wanted something that sounded cool, but also wasn't too wacky. I put my initials along with my favorite brand of computer, and then added "Guy" for the cool effect. So now, I am known as JDDellGuy and for some of those who are familiar with me on the site simply as "JD"

where do you live? i live in yorkville, illinois. sometimes me and my family go on vacations to other states like wyoming, colorado, michigan, and utah. i love utah so much. 😁 delicate arch was the best part. it's the stone arch you see on paychecks, stamps, utsh license plates, and etc.

my other favorite part about utah was that some route signs have pictures of beehives instead of shields! lol.
