Wow, the green version is massively more popular than this one. But, I myself like this version the most. Lol. Hey, use what serves your eyes ... I just find it funny. One of the few cases I prefer red over green ... red cursors are a dime a dozen though.

I searched for info on the flame style. After a lot of searching, all I found was this: http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c72/jackchevelle/Forza124.jpg
LOL! ๐ ๐ Just joking! ๐
They show inverse colors as transparent in the preview (why?) ... The center of the plachette (tear drop cursor), the center of the pointer hand show the inverse color. Same with the bar for text and the precision select ... the triangles of the resize etc.
These cursors want to be seen and use inverse colors ... try 'em! High visibility was the goal. Anyway, enjoy!

I love this! I wish I knew how to actually make cursors like this LOL! ๐ (I've run into that "glitch" before. I don't know how to fix it tho, sorry.)
It's a windows thing ... but simple *.cur files like this in an older format are happy on the web. Just that on click event if you use them as your personal ones it does that weird thing of turning b/w.
It doesn't do it highlighting text or parts of pictures ... shruggs - windows weirdness.

I love it a lot! The palette is so beautiful, and the flame style is unexplainable to me. You have certainly done a very good job!
The gradient isn't anything special except perhaps that you can actually do it well in 4 bit color. Black 0 0 0, Dark Blue 0 0 128, Dark Magenta 128 0 128, Red 255 0 0, Yellow 255 255 0, White 255 255 255 and a tiny bit of Grey 128 128 128.
Fixed the busy ani that I added a mistake too when moving the mini cursor ...
Lol, what?!? That would drive me nuts. Personally, I dislike overly animated normal cursors hence most of my cursors are really simple animations.

This is one awesome series. I wonder what software is used for this..I didn't notice before, the closed hands grabbing the hotspot. Nice! ... I like the text select better without the mini-indicator, but that's just my quirk. And backward compatible with win3.x! You appear to be THE rocket-scientist of cursors. If you designed space shuttles, we'd be on Mars already LOL ๐
Oh, and your angled hand shape is the best.
So technically this and it's relatives are part of a bigger set - 15 win cur 27 web cur and four alts ... there are themes. The hourglass cursors are slowing me down. Life is hectic, and they are putzy. So five decades animated and not animated amounts to a ton of cursors. Really it is the hourglass ones.
@Anonymous: So you actually tried it (the preview sucks without inversion effects). Nice, huh?
Nobody figured out the text ones. They flare is more slowly outward widened than the cursors made by MS Apple or Google, and that "pen" is there to help you out as a sightline in say the search box ... aim dude - it is there to underline words! It works for big and small text.
@Anonymous: Glad you trusted me on the inverse effects - the preview won't show that ...

These are great, I liked how you used inverting colors to make the cursors non-intrusive

These cursors are really great especially the hourglass. The colors look really nice combined. But the description is something else. Like how does someone have the patience to right all of that down for a cursor set?
