Yeah, that was one of my problems. Trying to make them appear detailed, but simple enough to look good at a small size.

Wow, now THIS is the quality I want to see! I knew this was possible! It only took 3 hours of browsing! Why are there no cursors like this? Why do they all look like they're 20 years old?! PLEASE turn your attention to anything else, - just keep adding high quality cursors.
For this particular set, I liked the cog wheel waiting/busy sets. Beautiful! The pointers and resize arrows were not functional enough for me (I need traditional pointer-esque shapes and non-animated resizing). However the SPBusy is beyond detailed, looks wonderful, and can appeal to a large group of people.

why is it called "steampunk"? there isn't any steam in it. i've never heard of that word anyway... what does it mean?

Steampunk is a genre. It is a representation of current/future technology depicted as if it were powered by springs and steam, etc. as it would have if developed in the victorian era. Characterizations of steampunk style are gears, screws, wood, ornate design, steam, springs, etc.

Steampunk is a neat style, google it. The only steampunk I do not like is gothic steampunk. That's usually just creepy, but unfortunately it is pretty common and is probably the most dominant subgenre of steampunk.
